IA on INSTAGRAM and FACEBOOK 🛑
I received an email from Meta (Instagram and Facebook) that they will use my photos, captions, posts, and public comments from Instagram and Facebook to put in the AI database (YES, THEY DIDN'T ASK ME BEFORE THEY WILL JUST DO IT), I had the option to object to this and I objected of course, but the confirmation email made me worried…
First I received the email has 2 days about it, but I just noticed today because this dawn someone told me about it. The email wasn't in my main inbox, it was hidden in the "Social" section. (SO PLS CHECK IT IF YOU DIDN'T SAW YET!) When you click on the option to object to this >which will be done<, you are taken to a form where you only need to fill in your email address, you don't need to fill in the optional message area (I didn't fill it in). There is information on the form that I would like to highlight: "Public information about our Products and services may be provided as:
Publications
Photos and their captions
Comments"
BUT in the confirmation email you receive after submitting the form, this part appears: "We will comply with your request to object to the use of your public information, such as public posts and comments."
Did you see that something is missing?
YES, the photos and their captions!
Could I be exaggerating? Yes. Could the photos not be used? Yes. But am I sure about that? NO!
I'm very worried about photos on Instagram and Facebook. My Facebook is deactivated and I don't think there are any photos of me there, but I'll check, but on Instagram there are photos of me and especially my art, which is why I'm worried!
To be honest, I'm worried about my art in general, I started using AI protection on my current art, but I've been drawing since 2015… I know I'm not an impressive artist with a super unique style, but as an artist, I don't want my art within an AI database.
