I'm a falconer. This was the first raptor I held, trained, and flew. He was a Barbary/Prairie hybrid falcon. His name was Jack Sparrow. I love and miss him so much. I was thrilled when @oakparkrocks painted him for me. I cried when I saw him again. I feel like he's back with me now. This means the world to me. He's stunning! Jack died tragically many years ago on one of his hunts. With this beautiful memorial I feel not so alone. He can once again rest on my hand. This morning I set the jelly out with the booth. There are so many Oriole babies right now, I’d love to get a booth pic. For now, this female or young male will have to do :) This is also a fun time because you can hear all the different sounds the bird babies make. Orioles are very gentle and soft. Blue Jays are loud and demanding. Chickadees sound just the same.
