So, it snowed last night in Austin, TEXAS! It's fun to experience something so unusual, but let's take some time to actually think about this weather. A study plublished in Nature (Nature 552, 45–50, 12/07/17) found that on average models used by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change underestimate future warming. What does this mean? It means that climate model that indicate a global temperatures increase anywhere of 5.8°F and 10.6°F (3.2°C to 5.9°C) is actually likely to be 0.9°F (0.5°C) greater than what the raw model results suggest. While information throughout the media can be misleading, it's critical to do your own research and then inform others. The planet needs you, and this country needs to move forward instead of backwards. Enjoy the snow, but don't let the beauty blind you from the truth. #PlanetEarth #GlobalWarming #Snowing #Austin #Texas #GoVegan #NatureResearch #Boots #GoVeganSaveThePlanet #DoYourOwnResearch #EPA #ClimateChange #UNEP (at Austin, Texas)
