I decided to go pick up trash again, since I couldn't make myself do any schoolwork. The first bag is from a short walk from the post office, the second one is from picking up around my house. I got so much exercise, squatting all the time and I spent a lot of time outside. But I was so angry at the smokers, I have picked up 347837972392 cigarettes and I hate it. Uf.
I feel weird picking up trash like this, I feel a bit ashamed when people walk by, like I'm doing something embarrassing. Which I'm not. I'm afraid they'll laugh or think I'm weird. But I hope that maybe someone will stop and think “hey maybe I shouldn't throw my trash on the ground” or “hey maybe I should go and pick up some trash myself sometimes” and it would be amazing if it happened. When I was picking up trash in January, a small boy came to me and was staring at what I did, fascinated. He kept asking me what I'm doing and was following me everywhere, telling his mother “trash! trash!” excitedly when I explained I was picking up trash. He wanted to help me. And I was so happy to see that. We have a quarantine in our country at the moment, schools are closed. Maybe kids could try to do something that helps the planet.
