After searching for images, I decided to dive into brainstorming by sketching out everything that popped into my mind. I really liked the idea of incorporating a butterfly wing into the design, so I started playing around with how I could bring that to life. I sketched out a few different ideas, focusing on how I could scale up the wing to make it not only visually striking but also functional. The challenge was figuring out how to amplify it onto cardboard in a way that would support my weight. It’s been fun experimenting with how to combine art with practicality!

While working on this project, I’ve been trying to figure out what the word “forest” means to me personally. I started by scrolling through my phone’s photo gallery and found a bunch of pictures I’ve taken over the years, all showing different forest scenes. It was interesting to see how many times I’ve felt drawn to nature. To dive deeper, I looked for more images online and gathered about 25 photos of forests from different angles and perspectives. It’s cool how the idea of a forest connects to not just nature, but also how it can support and refresh the body and mind.
