Misty was enjoying a nice relaxing day...The sun was out, and it was nice and warm...Making it a perfect day for her to go fishing. Misty sat on the ground as she patiently waited for her to hook something. Fishing was one of the few things Misty was patient with...The tomboy wasn’t exactly known for being the most patient person after all. But for fishing? Misty would make quite the exception. Plus, she couldn’t help but to smile fondly as she saw Kingdra swimming around joyfully...Obviously having the time of it’s life.

“Hm?” Misty blinked as a shadow suddenly was cast over her, and the Cerulean Gym City Leader noticed that someone was standing right behind her. “Can I help you with something?” Misty asked curiously with a raised eyebrow. “If you’re wanting to challenge me, I have to warn you. I’m a gym leader, so don’t think I’ll go easy on you.”

Blaine noticed a trend, from all the years he ran his gym. He noticed that the months would determine the ebb and flow of trainers coming through his doors. The warm spring and summer months were the ones that held the most scorching battles, the most kids coming though those doors and demanding he give up a badge and bow to them.

However, this month was slow. It had been at least a few days since any trainer dared to cross the seas to get to his little island, not that the man blamed them. The sea could be fierce.

With that, he decided a walk around the small town was in order. Blaine decided to bring a young Vulpix, which he had named Cinder, instead of his Arcanine or Rapidash. His cane made a quiet tap against the cobblestone as he walked, slow and sure. Cinder was spastic, zipping all around the place, weaving in-between Blaine’s legs and pawing the ground when she smelt something. This made the old Gym Leader smile a little.
