so prehistoric teyvat had literal space shuttles it seems. maybe this is the basis of the intergalactic travel in vera's melancholy? or it could even explain the abyssal leakage and foreign invaders in teyvat. could be it's a clue that teyvat is some kind of utopian sanctuary chosen to preserve life, possibly by project ark from honkai impact - or it could be showcasing how advanced the ancient world was, and now only deteriorates day by day, going back in time and advancement. i knew the whole of inazuma had always been foreshadowing. celestia most likely uses teyvat as some kind of 'garden of eden' for mankind (especially with the gardener metaphors, and the 'roses' and 'weeds') and keeps it in an eternal stasis to prevent it from reaching such a point in technological advancement that it brings about its own end. this they do, ironically, by subjecting teyvat to cyclical eternity, and swiftly ending any civilization that knows too much for its own good. this is why eternity is closest to the heavenly principles - both stasis and cycles. i think this is more fuel for the 'teyvat is someone's dream' direction too, since a utopia is impossible to make without it collapsing on itself
