The soap community is fiercely loyal. When a show is in your home five days a week, you get invested in the characters and you get to know the actors. These actors are just people, people who happen to play a character on TV. Some of us are even lucky enough to get to know these actors on a personal level. In the recent tragic news of Nathaniel Marston, I stumbled across his official facebook page and when OLTL was still on the air, there were fan luncheons and so many people loved him. I can’t even imagine the pain they’re feeling today.

One Life to Live was my baby. I was in junior high and I’d rush home to catch the last half hour of OLTL. Marcie and Al/Michael had a love story like no other. Someone on twitter said something so brilliant today. The story of Marcie and Al taught me that someone like me could win a good guy over with personality and wit. And it just stuck with me. I crushed on Nathaniel Marston hard during the Michael/Al and Marcie days.
