i’ll be honest, i started out with some cheap “how to draw manga” books my cousin got me! i forget exactly which book it was, but it had plenty of fairly simple tutorials on faces and hair and anatomy, which are always the most handy to find. i still have a lot of drawings from when i based my style off this one book i had

a look of it also comes from tracing. while its Definitely not the kind of thing you’d post (unless you get permission from the original artist!) not including pics of these ones of course because while i still have them they are.. you know.. traced. that helps with figuring out How to make the kinds of lines you might want, and to yourself started if you don’t know exactly how to start with drawing.

all in all i think the most important thing is to use references and take inspiration. i knew i had a couple of artists i had a lot of art saved from to reference or try to copy/trace, and i still have loads of artists who i take a lot of inspiration from! i even made a thread of artists who inspire me because.. it’s nice to compile them in some way. one good thing is to pay attention to what parts of people’s art you like - if you adore how this particular artist draws eyes, or colors hair, and use that!
