So, Mega Man Forever's Wily Stage theme is an 8-bit version of the Wily Field theme from Mega Man's Soccer.
That was always an awesome song, but the intro of this proves just how good it sounds in 8-bit.
It always gave me the impression of slogging on constantly, I assume because of the fact that I can at least appreciate all of the song's parts.
R-Type 3 ~ Boss Theme 3
the fifth bosses' theme is this.
it's a dark remix of the original r-type battle theme, befitting the fact that you're fighting a monster that shifts into older traditional bosses with wild abandon.
R-Type 3 ~ IMITATOR
theme of the fifth level.

the walls turn alive as the machines change form in an endless dance of confusion.

thIS IS FUCKING AWESOME
For some reason, Starfy is the series with one of the catchiest bonus boss battle songs I've ever seen.
This plays against a boss whose name literally is "Evil". Yeah he's pretty crazy, and also one of the truly dangerous bosses in the series.
This guy is mean.
His song is catchy, but the orchestration is a little odd due to Starfy's somewhat happy sound clips. Still, they get a definite eerie sound behind it that makes the thing sound pretty good.
I especially enjoy the percussion.
(note: this is the version that loops for 20 minutes, so you'll want to stop it yourself)
Hell, at one point he turned into a Dark Meta Knight (imo one of the hardest kirby bosses i've ever fought) and he had even more awesome battle music.
