Ok, so this mask doesn't have a real name. The agency that keeps track of it calls it “the love mask”. It tends to change names on what it calls itself, it likes the nicknames Cupid or Aphrodite because it finds them funny.

Appearance wise, it's a full face masquerade mask. It has real gold and real rubies on it in the shapes of hearts. It has a black base and its eyes are closed. If they are open, that means somethings wrong or they were forced onto a face. The body it has changes often but it most often takes the form of an extremely tall woman. It will have black skin with gold and rubies in different patterns. It just does this because it thinks it looks nice. It sometimes looks like a man but it seems to like taking the form of women more. Probably because due to it's backstory and who has tried to use it more.

The mask was created for women back in the 1700s. It was made to make her irresistible to the man she wanted to marry for her own gain. It did work but the person who sold it to her gave it major downsides. Which still affects anyone who tries to use it, but the women didn't listen. She did manage to get the man she wanted but the mask fed off the lust the two had. Which was the only thing the relationship had, meaning the relationship didn't last. When the man did leave the women found the mask had took her face and left it deformed. Meaning she had to wear that mask for the rest of her life. Not being able to find a meaningful relationship due to the effects of the mask. The mask became sentient after the woman died. After consuming so much energy and learning how humans work, it went off into the world. Where it still exists and lives off the feeling of others.

So now the mask doesn't like to be worn, it feels bad knowing the effects it has. It just makes it feel weird too, it doesn't have any control as soon as it's on a face.

It will always cause all relationships to end and it will always deform the person's face. It will ruin the persons life and it knows it.

It needs the feeling of lust to function, it can't live without it. So it feeds off the people around it, taking on forms the person it's feeding on can not resist. Its face will look human useless you having something that helps you see through it.
