"In The Garden" (20x24 inches) was recently finished. I started this painting in Los Angeles 3 years ago using a mirror in my lush back yard. The constantly changing shadows were such a difficult obstacle. It was full of ferns, palms, succulents, lemon trees, and flowering bushes - It really felt like Eden out there. Over the years I slowly allowed its story to emerge, only working more into it every few months. Now I feel it's ready to show for the first time. I'm really proud of where it's at. August 19 it will be in a juried self portrait show at the Zhou B center in Bridgeport (Chicago). Thanks for the continued support everyone.
