I was feeling very tired after a long, slow night at work that felt like it would never end... I got home, and decided I would just figure out my revised work count goals and then go to bed, since I wrote enough yesterday to cover yesterday's goal of 500 AND today's goal of 500. (I wrote 1787).
Well, I did figure out revised goals, but then I decided to just write a short scene. I figured it would be about 400-700 words. Well, it ended up being 1,522! So I got quite a bit ahead, and it feels fantastic. I'm very glad I stayed up a bit. The scene also did a lot to clarify where I'm going the next time I sit down to write, so I'm hoping the next few thousand words will flow pretty smoothly!
