Day Four
I hit 10k! Very happy! Wrote the history of the universe in a separate doc in the car, and ended up knocking up 2000 words so YEAH. Tomorrow the plot really kicks off, they're sleeping in a gas station and Noah is being very tsundere which is still a bit boring & slow, but it'll pick up and I can redo the start. He will be mad at Eikko in the morning, but the boy will grow on him. Really excited! TOTAL WORD COUNT: 10246

Day Three
Well I got 2000 words down, which is nice. Gotta say, I'm glad it was mostly just Noah talking about the world and history, I needed the expansion. Didn't expect some off-esque purification, but sure! Makes a good link to Noah's ark, which is the protags name... Soo Need to do a LOT of plot development tomorrow. Also gonna rewrite yesterday and the day before's stuff later because plot. Kinda happy with Noah's development though. Can't wait to write Micah. TOTAL: 8242 WORDS
Day Two
2007 words today, which is a bit meh, but it was a school day. I like how Noah's character is developing, but the plot's a bit messy and idk where to go from where I left off. Maybe I'll skip to where I know what I'm doing and revisit the start when I'm done. Want to add more scenes between Noah and Eikko, so far it's been a lot of description. TOTAL WORD COUNT: 6113

okay okay okay okay so I wrote 1500 words today and the night is still young (they're hitting that late 17 year old time in their life, when they've grown a bit disillusioned with the wild youthful abandon, and are starting to think about what they want from life, where they want to be, who they want to be.)
I will, step by step, get back on top of nanowrimo. Even if I have to ignore my essays. some things are just more important than getting good grades kids, and that's a rock fact

fuck okay i have 2000 more words to write today if I wanna stay on top of Nanowrimo I better step up my game but like. all I wanna do is draw wirt and re-watch OtGW.
also I have to read two stories for tomorrow.
But hey at least I'm finally about to close Act 1 and can actually start writing plot-moving scenes soon so that's a plus
I got a lot more plotting and ideas for character arcs down this morning and let me tell you guys. how excited I am to write a ya novel that doesn't!!!!! revolve!!!!! around!!! romance!!!! I am so excited to actively not include any romance at all you have no idea
not that it's bad if you include romance in your stories. that's absolutely great if you like that stuff that's not what I mean keep on doing your thing. I'm just not a big fan of reading about love it just, rarely ever appeals to me and i've just always wanted to read a ya novel that doesn't include romance in the character's stories.
so progress report I'm at 7977 words which means I'm 400 words behind but yeah. I'm still p damn pleased

idk maybe I should just start setting my goals as 2k words since that's what I keep getting.
Although the only thing that got me to that count today were the sprints I ended up doing in theticklishpear's chat room, since today I have been procrastinating like the lazy person I am. At about 3pm I still had nothing. But the sprints boosted me from barely 600 to just over 2,000 words - I have discovered I am a word sprint person. It is a wonderful discovery.
