The trend continues...another amazing day in Norway! Our last day in Nannestad was fantastic - we had the opportunity to create our own handmade glassware at a factory established in 1762 (insane!). We even got the chance to hear a traditional Norwegian "bluegrass" performance!
Across from the glass factory was a pier and beach that you see in the pic above - a perfect place to relax for an hour or so while the girls shopped...haha! ;)
Afterward, we visited Ingunn's cabin in the hills of Norway which was great! Greg even got the chance to play the accordion (well, at least he tried...ha!).
We rounded out our evening at Karl's home where we enjoyed a grill out complete with fresh fish, steak, wine, and traditional Norwegian caramel pudding. Our hosts couldn't have been more hospitable, which seems to be the standard from the Rotarians here in Norway!
So grateful to have these fantastic experiences and memories from Nannestad! For now, we're packed up and ready to move to our next hosts in Eidsvoll South!

Days 19 & 20
18 & 19 May 2013
Sorry for the delay in updates folks! We've been enjoying every moment of our stay in Nannestad and especially our nice and long relaxing weekend (much needed!). According to our hosts and the record books, we experienced the warmest May 18 in ages! It was absolutely beautiful and we figured there wouldn't be a better time to join the "Polar Bear Club", so Jessica, Jill, Rune and I jumped into the local lake which was ice cold. It was surprisingly refreshing and we dried out on our ~20 mile round trip bike ride. A great weekend of fun, sun, good food, and good times!
