A sleepy groan leaves parted lips as Nancy opens her eyes to turn her head and look at Robin. “....Robin? What is it? Is everything okay?”

"Why did you scream like that?"

There’s a small ‘oof’ sound of surprise as Dustin throws his arms around her. It’s a tight embrace and truth be told, a little worrisome. Dustin doesn’t usually hug her like this - none of the kids do. Sure, out of all of them, Dustin is likely more likely but did something happen? “Hey, you alright?”

“I know.” Nancy speaks softly, bringing her hand up to cup Robin’s cheek. Gently her thumb carresses over her skin. Being out in public, being together romantically in public - it could be dangerous for them. She’s seen the way the few who have been openly gay have been treated, the way they’ve been hurt. She wouldn’t want something to happen to Robin. “I know it does, but there’s not much we can do about it. At least we can be together like this.”

A smile curls the corners of her lips upwards. It’s unexpected but Nancy likes how romantic Robin is being. This whole thing is unpexected, but nice, If you told her she’d be with Robin like this a while ago, she might have laughed - but, now she can’t imagine her life without being with Robin. “Yeah, that sounds nice.”
