He usually likes to lay his head in your lap while you two sit on the head of the sunny, and unfortunately, it's usually not uncommon for a certain chef to come interfering because of jealousy over the fact Luffy gets to nap with you whenever he pleases.
įÆā .į Naps with Luffy are either super short like 5 minutes, or super long like - 3 hoursā¦ and if youāre also feeling particularly tired then instead of sleeping on the head of the sunny; youāll sleep in the men's cabin with one of the lower bunks with him.Ā
įÆā .į Napping with Luffy usually gets very chaotic very quickly unless Luffy is extremely tired out, usually after a long island adventure; Heāll try and start pillow fights, play games, and maybe even try to sing a lullaby (you can imagine how that isā¦)
įÆā .į But once he eventually tires himself out heāll wrap his arms around you tightly or be sprawled out all over the bed; making you have to maneuver to find a somewhat comfortable place to sleep with him.

įÆā .į It has become routine to nap with Zoro; After his daily training, heāll look for you on the sunny and pick you up, carelessly tossing you over his shoulder and bringing you to either the crow's nest or the helm area of the sunny to nap with you. You don't mind this of course, but it was a little surprising at first when heād just randomly pick you up and take you somewhere. But now youāve gotten used to it, and even make sure you're not doing anything important when he comes to pick you up.
įÆā .į Naps often get interrupted (even more than luffy) not just because youāre napping with someone, but because your napping with Zoro of all people; and much to no one's surprise they get interrupted by a peculiar blond chef; Heās yelling, sobbing, kicking and screaming over the fact YOU chose zoro and nap every day with him.
įÆā .į Naps with Zoro are long and most of the time heās got an arm around your shoulder or waist to pull you close (and he also feels better if you're close to him incase something happens so he can protect you first; even though heāll never admit that to you). His grip on you isn't super tight though unless you fall asleep first which rarely happens - so if heās asleep for hours and you decide you want to get up and do something else; you can easily stand up and do so.
įÆā .į Naps with Nami are very rare; she doesn't nap much due to being the strawhats navigator and feeling like she needs to be there 24/7 on the watch just in case something happens. But when she does nap; she usually plans it out and if you decide to join her that's even better. It's usually like having her set specific times so that she knows it's during a time of day when Robin (or someone else responsible) can look after navigating the ship properly.Ā
įÆā .į It never usually any other place than her bed during the evenings after dinner because that's usually the calmest time on the ship; waves gently rowing back and forth while Nami lays in your arms against your chest (or vice versa) while she catches up on her much-needed sleep.
įÆā .į Nami is a light sleeper, so that means it's your job not to wake her up and prevent anything from waking her up (mostly Sanji banging on the door begging to be let in). But in the small case she does wake up; she doesn't try and go back to sleep unless sheās very exhausted, but if sheās not; sheāll just turn off her upcoming alarm and get back to her daily routine.
įÆā .į Ā Usopp will Not nap with you when you first start dating, mostly because heās afraid heāll embarrass himself in his sleep. But after a good while of being together, heāll be more than happy to join you in naps, or have you join him.Ā
įÆā .į Naps with Ā Usopp aren't super rare; but also not super common. It usually happens if it's a rather boring day on the sunny or heās tired out from playing games with Luffy and Chopper all day. Heāll sorta try and (not very) subtly hint at you that heās gonna take a nap, doing things like dramatically yawning or saying stuff like āMan, it's been a pretty tiring dayā then immediately staring in your direction.
įÆā .į Though; the first 30 minutes usually is just Usopp telling you another one of his ārealā adventure stories while you lay your head on his shoulder. He prefers to nap indoors like in the aquarium bar or crow's nest while Zoroās not there, Heāll sit next to you leaning against the wall or cushion of the chair with his arm around you while you lay your head on his shoulders.
įÆā .į Usopp is a pretty normal sleeper when it comes to lightness or heaviness; If he needs to wake up for something then you won't usually have any probably waking him up; that is unless its right after a particularly tiring missionā¦then heās gonna be asleep for at least 3 hours after dinner.
Ā įÆā .į Sanji will get on his hands and knees and be your own personal bed for your nap.
įÆā .į But also Sanji himself never naps that often, like ever. But if you want to then heāll be more than happy to prep an entire room, and ambiance, and physically beat anyone (not the girl's ofc) who dares to make a possible disturbance
įÆā .į But oh you wanna nap with him?! Nosebleed, passed out, giggling, blushing, screaming. It takes him 30 minutes to calm down from just the thought of you wanting to nap with him.

įÆā .į Choppers naps are short, like very short; no more than 30 minutes at most. He prefers it that way as well since he wants to make sure he can tend to immediate wounds if needed; or if the sunny gets attacked then he can be ready to defend it.
įÆā .į Unfortunately; Chopper does still have nightmares sometimes even on these short naps, and it's pretty obvious when it happens cause heāll way up with his hair on edge and a concerned or fearful expression. You don't usually try and make him talk about them just in case it was based on some traumatic experience, so instead youāll subtly get him to start talking about whatever current study or treatment heās interested and heāll forget he even had a nightmare.
įÆā .į ā¦Robin almost never napsā¦but on the extremely rare occasion she does; it's because of exhaustion from a long adventure on an island where she might have gotten slightly injured; or just pushed her energy a bit too far.
įÆā .į Robin likes to nap in the aquarium bar or her bed after sheās finished or falls asleep while reading a book. Sheās not much of a cuddler either; but she of course likes when your near still so youāll just sit next to her and sheāll put her hand on top of yours before she falls asleep.
įÆā .į Robins naps usually around 30-45 minutes depending on how tired she is; sheās just not a big fan of napping since she usually has a pretty normal sleep schedule as well. But if she has to she will. You by her side; a warm cup of tea nearby and a quiet, dim environment for the both of you.Ā

I dont imagine sheās much used to physical touch given her background, but once she gets to know and trust you sheāll slowly put down her barriers and will allow you to get closer to her both mentally and physically.
Loves to cuddle while sheās reading a book, whether youāre laying your head on her lap, shoulder or bury your face in her chest while she plays with your hair. Her devil fruit powers definetely come in handy for reading while cuddling.
Sheās most likely the dominant one in the relationship so at night I can see her being the big spoon most the time, liking the feeling of having you in her arms. However she loves being the small spoon from time to time, still not used to the feeling of being held and loved for who she is. honestly his goes perfectly for luffyās character cuz as we all know, he will adopt ANYTHING. so if your comforting presence was felt and needed wherever you met and he thinks āmore of this would make me happyā (as if heād say it that formal šæšæš¤£) then itās easy as pie for you to join the crew!
i just love how ārealisticā it is to be able to become a strawhat even as a regular person. like this dude is so accepting itās quite LITERALLY harder to not get in/escape (once he wants you). the entire crew has to protest and even then thereās still a chance their getting in! once you got in life probably gets better ngl. like life as a pirate is undeniably fun and freeing as it is threatening and dangerous. :) so as a normal peep you could be screaming with usopp chopper and nami or maybe youāre not easily spooked like robin. either way luffy definitely has his moments where he needs you to be there for him.
he has a lot of hard moments, (ā ļøā¼ļøSPOILERS throughout the series up to marinefordā¼ļøā ļø, (which sounds obvious for the point iām making) when the crew splits up, when heās losing to a stronger enemy, when crewmates leave, when he loses his brother, when his crewmates get kidnapped (he isnāt so much worried as he is angry for this one, but support is always good).
and even for more simpler moments heās really grateful for you! like when sanji says no food, and you explain and reason with him that everyoneāll literally perish if he eats everything. when his strawhat gets an injury and you comfort him while nami patches it.
now as for you not being very strong thatās no problem! cuz he is!! heāll support you physically and you to him emotionally! tbh i wouldnāt be surprised if you were often targeted along with nami or robin (regardless of how you identify ofc) bc itās known that your not exactly the strongest in the group!

being funny is a sure fire way to befriend any of the strawhats pretty much. most of em (stoic ahh zoro. stoic ahh jinbe) but at least usopp is indeed included in that āmostā he loves to prank, joke around and be silly. as mentioned many times throughout these hcs you most certainly get dragged into the goofy trio because of this trait. maybe heāll set up the trap and youāll deliver the punchline when someone sets it off. even if you are indeed one of those maniacs if youāre regular youāre probably way easier to handle than luffy. š sheād love to share culture differences and traditions n such. generally getting to know you better.
so yeah! being regular doesnāt bother her at all and she actually prefers it that way! the last thing they need is more crazy ppl on the ship ngl..(unfortunately, vivi, luffy went on to adopt five more)
vivi isnāt the strongest on the crew, but sheās one of the most empathetic, meaning even if sheās weak sheāll do everything in her power and more to protect and/or safe you. as we see with her entire kingdom <33 (i love you vivi āŗļø) she brings out the peacock slashers, and tells you to run on karoo to safety/one of your crewmates for help
dont worry about her (her words not mine) she isnāt going down with out a fight - vivi, the brave one. (thatās a quote i made up btw but it sure is true) she would even fight crocodile for you if it came to that. she was already madder than mad at the man for all heās done, she donāt care if sheās gonna win or lose if heās threatening your life sheāll at least make sure you get away or SMTH (ok rq, high key- crocodile was viviās arlong š)
being a jokester is right up her alley. laughter is the best medicine and this applies so much in one piece (looking at you luffy liberator ššš) + this girl most definitely needs it while sheās goin through it. itāll take things off her mind and apply ease to her tension. your jokes + warm company = a bond quickly built between you and the strawhat princess šøš

chopper can handle regular people well, (once he warms up to them anyway) and finds abnormal people like franky to be cool, so no matter what boat youāre in heās pretty much okay with you. especially after he joined the crew, meeting many kind people, and goin through many adventures that helped him open up and become more brave
he can certainly handle a regular person now!! >:D really heās just curious to see what youāre like what your interests and intentions are. heavy on intentions, since youāre a regular person you could be anybody! heās slightly wary at first, but the soothing reassurance of you constantly acting normal doesnāt let him keep his guard up long :)
bonus if youāre just as scared of adventures as he, usopp and nami. and even if you arenāt he admires you! like luffy! only your normalā¦š whenever he wants to read, play chess or take a nap he comes to your uplifting, consistent presence. (which is accurate for a reindeer tbh cuz animals esp deers donāt really come up to to ppl like that).
and with that being said youāre ofc open to join him and robin in any of their activities. if you do youāre sure to get smarter! learning facts abt history and herbs everyday! :) if you accept you often meet up in the library and aquarium room :D
chopper will do his absolute best to protect you even if heās scared. even when he knows he canāt win heāll buy you time to get another one of your crew members. so hurry! run! (š) heās not a bad fighter at all though! even more so post time skip when he gets kung fu point! at least that one is fighting centered! worst case scenario heāll use monster point so youāll need to be quick!!
chopper LOVES that youāre funny!! thatās literally right up his usoppās and luffyās alley. he and luffy are the ultimate younger brotherās, so if he finds something you do funny heāll copy it (like he does with usopp and luffy, esp pre time skip)
robin also has no opinion on fodder. if youāre helpful you are, if youāre a nobody you are. if she notices you she does. if she doesnāt, she doesnāt. for the most part the most sheās ever interacted with them is simply asking for directions or clues of what sheās trying to find. which we all know sheās good at <33
however you joining the crew automatically makes you important. and whatever you did to convince luffy you should join is valid to her! especially since she herself didnāt intend on joining until luffy left her with no other place to go!
she is very curious on what a normal life would be like. obviously she knows it to some degree. but more so what would having a loving/regular home be like. is it boring? living a regular life? perhaps thatās why you agreed to join? to spice things up?
sheād ask you to write about it, your life story, so she can compare it to hers. if you just joined she wonāt go into super detail about hers. which would be kinda triggering if you agreed to write down yours for her. but sheāll make it a thing to give you bits and trinkets of it the longer youāre on the crew.
she knows all about how pirates can betray one another, having done so herself. and if youāre new that leaves more room for a detached breach of trust. especially in the case you get singled out and interrogated by other pirates or marines to safe your own. she could see that, very plausible.
but if you ask her why she continues to tell even bits and pieces about herself anyway, sheāll say itās simply because she trusts you. as simple (and ironic) as it is, itās true. thereās something about the fact that youāre so regular that relaxes her. itās reassuring in the weirdest way, contradicting the scenario she just laid out.
not only that though, she trusts luffy- LOL. and by that i mean to drag you back because heās never let a single member heās deemed his nakama go. š somehow that reminds me to talk about her protecting you! dw sheāll do it well.
as long as she can see you sheāll do everything in her power to make sure youāre safe. and with many hands that task isnāt very daunting. :) but hey, if you donāt like the sound of spines snapping synchronistically iād advise you cover your ears. just my two cents š¤·āāļø

as seen in the show this man is a man in tune with his emotions. heād shed a tear (or few, or totally ball with snot) and hug you, š« thanking you for bringing back such memories. no, he didnāt lose them, but remembering them just now felt really good. šš
after that interaction he takes protecting you very seriously. as he would any of your crewmates tbh. even if that hadnāt of happened youāre still under their wing now, and he will go to bat for his people.
your funny side is definitely smth he can get behind and in fact join in on. even with a straight face. franky is a ridiculous, goofy and 100% shameless character who loves a good silly moment. he will indeed join in on all your jokes, antics and anything inbetween. making his own all the whileāyeah heās cool with it. and of course, chopper usopp and luffy are laughing, clapping and adding to it all.
being fodder has never hurt anyone! :) i mean except the fodder themselves..but he wonāt let you get hurt!! heās pretty new to the crew himself but he most certainly wonāt let anything happen to you! in all his years of combat experience heāll use everything heās got to protect you!!

brook pretty much gets you and your mindset. not questioning you or anything like that, heās more so interested in helping you settle in and feel apart of the crew. and getting to know you personally/your interests! but emphasis on getting settled in. he had to find his own way, and even asked robin for advice if i remember correctly, and if you remember š¤£

heād enjoy doing or helping whatever hobbies you may have since they donāt involve/end up receiving a punch from nami at the end. tbh i feel like he and nami most need comforting reader šš«¶ he likely also asks you about how things normally go on the ship and routines so he can get in line with everyone else š
you being regular/fodder really doesnāt phase him. at most heās concerned for your safety. he knows these seas and itās treacherous waters, and more troublesome than thatāwho roams them. he has trust in his captain and your crewmates however. he may not have been on the crew long but he does advise one thing: āstay by at least one of us at all times, surely weāll protect you.ā

- Nami and Usopp have gossip sessions where they discuss potential romances on the ship ( zoro/luffy the one most talked about but they talk about franky/robin too)
- Usopp started the ritual cuz he was just bored on the ship, heās used to having a whole village to spy on and make up stories about, he missed the (non life threatening) drama of being nosy about other peoples business
- when Nami braids/helps wash Usopp hair since it can take a while ( his hair is a work of art and needs lots of time to get to perfection) they just stay up into the wee hours of the night gossiping away , dissecting each interaction theyāve observed
- Nami gives Usopp extra allowance to get good hair care products
-post ts Usopp showed her some great new hair care products he brought (itās really just a special type of bug that when crushed up and mixed with other common kitchen ingredients make a great hair mask. He never tells her what it really is, he knows sheād never use it if she knew the truth)
- Dragon didnāt āgiveā Luffy to Garp. Garp took Luffy. Dragon was in a bad situation (captured by pirates/stranded on an island/dying from an infected wound) Garp āsavedā him. (Made sure he wasnāt dead and left him somewhere where he wonāt be attacked/found by enemies, still was really weak) Garp took Luffy though. Told Dragon from then on he wonāt try and reason with him. His main focus is now Luffy not falling into bad footsteps. Dragon wants to protest but realizes if an enemy found him, instead of Garp, he wouldnāt have been able to protect Luffy. Thatās the last conversation Garp ever had with his son
- Sabo thinks that if given the choice Luffy would rather have Ace still be alive then Sabo. Sabo assumes Ace is the favorite brother. Sabo never brings it up, he doesnāt want to make Luffy feel bad.
- Luffy thinks the same thing. That Ace was Sabo āfavorite brother.ā And that Sabo would rather have Ace alive. Luffy doesnāt bring it up because he doesnāt want āthe truthā confirmed/said out loud.
-Sabo feels Ace presence a lot more after eating the fruit. He can ātalkā to Ace and have conversations with him. Mostly itās about keeping Luffy safe and Ace telling him heās the only big brother Luffy has left.
- Usopp mom used to always read him letters from his dad when he was little. Usopp loved when the mail came cuz it usually meant more letters. As he got older he realized the handwriting from those letters matched his momās handwriting.
-Yasopp doesnāt even know Banchina dead. When he finally has a reunion with Usopp, he tries to keep the conversation casual, avoids any apologies or accountability. Itās an awkward conversation but Usopp still happy to just talk with his dad. As heās leaving he makes a comment to Usopp about how the three of them (Usopp, Yasopp and Banchina) will take their own trip and explore together some day. The rest of the straw hat crew is shocked that Yasopp is that much of a dead beat he doesnāt even realize his wife is dead. They look at Usopp for his reaction. Expecting him to get angry/cuss him out. Usopp just smiles and says that sounds great.
- when Yasopp gone, Usopp makes a joke to the crew about itās obvious now where he got his ālying gene fromā
- Usopp realized when Yasopp made the comment, his dad was a great pirate but not a great dad/husband. And also that Yasopp never had any intention of keeping his promise.
