The rest of this post is going to be in Danish, because this mod pretty much only applies to people playing in Danish, so... Så Sims 4 har virkelig få navne på dansk. Altså virkelig få. Der er kun 40 per kategori (pige-, drenge- og efternavne). 40! Og, full offence to EA, men de var ikke alle helt... nutidige. Så jeg har lavet denne lille mod for at få en mere alsidig verden med flere forskellige navne. Pil er et sødt navn, men jeg gider ikke at have 3 af dem på ethvert givent tidspunkt.

I denne mod er der:

140 pigenavne

123 drengenavne

82 efternavne

NB: Forskellige stavemåder tæller som forskellige navne, således at Sidsel og Sissel tæller som 2 unikke navne. Ved efternavne har jeg generelt valgt den mest udbredte stavemåde (fx Nørregaard i stedet for Nørgård).

Hello everybody! I'm very sorry that I haven't been posting anything recently, but the Sims has been very buggy so I've not been able to play the game. Hopefully deleting all my downloads and starting over will have solved the problem, and if not, my downloads folder is so freakishly organised now that it will be easy to find the problem if there is one. 

I've just finished making my first ever piece of custom content for the Sims 2 - a default name replacement mod. I mostly made this for myself but am uploading it in case anyone else is interested. The names are mostly English along with some inclusions from Ireland, Germany, Russia, Sweden, Spain, France, and Italy. In total there are 678 male names, 810 female names, and 918 surnames. This results in over a million different possible name combinations. Random examples include:

Male Names: Oisin, Ivan, Seamus, Linus, Sean, Nicholas, Douglas, Dermot, Wesley, Quentin.

Female Names: Jade, Elvira, Aurelia, Alva, August, Rosalie, Jennifer, Sybil, Athena, Claudia.

Surnames: Birling, Moorhead, Lombard, Worth, Ball, MacAllister, Hausser, Mellor, Darvill, Attenborough.

Your townies will only spawn with these names if you start a new neighbourhood with clean templates. You can find more information on that here.

The mod is available in 11 different languages: US English, UK English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, and Finnish. If your language isn't included but you'd like to download my mod, let me know and I can re-upload it for you :) I just had to stop somewhere!
