Pocket Change part 1
Sam frowned, reaching a hand into his pockets and fingering the old coins he had been given by an antique dealer after their latest cursed object case, standing outside the motel room with the intention of getting something from one of the vending machines. Dean was currently in their room, cleaning the weapons they had. Suddenly, Sam felt a small charge, like a shock or such, race up his arm. The world seemed to slow as the terrified adrenaline began pumping, but his body wouldn't move. He tried to open his mouth, call out for help, but not even his lips or vocal chords themselves would respond. Everything started seeming to warp around him, rising up over his head. It took a moment for him to realize the he was shrinking. In his stunned state, he didn't notice that his clothes weren't growing with him. At least, not until they had swallowed him up, falling on top of him. Dean clenched his right hand, the 'Sammy-in-danger' signal coming through loud and clear. He had always had a strange ability to sense when Sam was in danger and had learned quickly not to ignore it. Dean stood, leaving the room and looking around. Sam wasn't at the vending machines. Taking a few steps out of the room, he looked around more. Parking lot, abandoned clothes, vending machines, motel office… Pausing, a cold sense of dread forming an ice ball in his stomach, he focused back on the clothes before running to them. Something had taken his brother, and apparently stripped Sam. That was a weird thought. He was about to have to… Dean focused on the clothes, suddenly pinpointing Sam's location. The second he had picked them up, he felt the 'Sammy-in-danger' sensation increase exponentially. With extreme care and a grim bit of amusement, he scooped up the clothes and held them to his chest, getting them back to the motel room. Sam groaned, starting to wake. Holding his head, he tried to remember what had happened before he had woken. The last thing he remembered was heading to the vending machines. A booming but familiar voice rang out overhead. "Morning, Sunshine." Sam's heart stopped for a minute and he tensely turned to look at the source. And then came the screaming.
