ive been searching forever for surviving footage of nakamas (the only other footage i have found being camera-at-screen footage of a minigame) only to find this video while not even looking for it (i was more broadly looking at videos about virtual world games published around its time because i think it's fun to see the ones that don't get discussed as often in modern virtual world spheres)
i need you to know how important this is to me. i played webkinz. if webkinz disappeared tomorrow, there'd be enough footage to probably compile a pretty good rewritten with enough effort. nakamas is like a ghost. It has official stuff--the trailers, a few things on artist portfolios, the ganznews for it in the wayback machine. but not video of the main gameplay. i couldn't see it in motion, i had puzzle pieces and hazy memories but nothing to piece them together.
I thought it was strange how a game from Ganz could've just gone so scarcely documented. I'm just so, so glad there's something.
Yo!! I've never done one before, but I'm hoping to make a deep dive video on every single game Ganz has ever made. Some, like Webkinz and Amazing World, are well known! Others are almost lost media. This video will be lengthy, I'm guessing at least an hour or two. Therefore: it's a big project, and I need some help. I need help with research, writing, script editing, and possibly video editing. I cannot pay anyone monetarily, but I can make art in return for help. If you play Webkinz, I have some pretty rare items I'm willing to send over as well.
