Mfarm - Mfarm is creating a mobile platform for crowdsourcing pricing information for rural farmers. Their app will also include weather information and they are working hard to provide their clients with access to larger markets. It would be cool to see them integrate some Kiva data into their product.  

KopoKopo - KopoKopo is working on creating a cloud based subscription service that allows microfinance organizations (and potentially other businesses) to integrate their internal management systems with mobile money providers with a lot less mess than the current options. Right now integrating an MIS system with a mobile provider's system is real sloppy, costly and in most cases hacked together.

Kilima Salama - Kilima Salama is creating a weather insurance program that installs small weather instruments in or close to rural farmers fields that sends data to a central server and determines if a farmers policy pays out. All payments are handled via MPesa. What surprised me here is that the weather monitoring equipment might be cheap enough to widely disburse to rural farmers.

Mswali - This is a project that ex-Kiva Fellow Jeremy Gordon is working. Jeremy is definitely one of my favorite entrepreneurs and is working on a handful of projects in Nairobi. Mswali is an SMS survey platform being developed for companies and organizations to perform market research and customer satisfaction type surveys in  emerging markets. The killer part of this service is going to be the analytical end of it which Jeremy is doing a great job with.
