Diana Fountain III, Nadia Day

Diana Fountain is in the heart of Bushy Park, with stunning vistas from each angle - including the historic Hampton Court Palace in one direction! In this composition I have chosen to include a lot of the dynamic sky beyond the fountain - and although it looks moody, the rain was still a little way off falling. This interesting sky was then reflected onto the pond below, tying the painting together. The leaves in the trees were starting to turn a delicious amber colour, which allowed me some warm colours in the middle band.

Barnes Pond, Nadia Day

The iconic pond in Barnes Village - a quintessential Barnes landmark. It is the centre of the village and feeding the ducks on the pond has been a rite of passage for many Barnes childhoods - including my own as our first family home was in Barnes! .  I captured it at the start of summer when the breezy sky was royal blue but cloudy, and when the ducks were playing on the waters rippling the surface.
