i will never forgive rtd for fumbling them all so badly
i decided to rewatch the 60th anniversary (because i hate myself apparently) and
this is literally just sexism. ignoring the fact that one of thirteen’s character traits is literally her obsessive need to know Everything and be in control, the doctor is canonically genderfluid and nonbinary. they don’t ABIDE by gender binaries
and even without all of that, the idea that women are biologically wiser and nurturing with the ability to Let Things Go that men don’t possess is literally just sexism! something the chris chibnall era did their best to shy away from, continually showing us that just because the doctor is female-presenting doesn’t mean she’s 1) a woman and 2) wise and nurturing
anyway the thesis of this post is fuck rtd always and forever
