     She did not wait for Padme’s reply as she began leading away but rather than through the grander halls, opting to take the more hidden away corridors often used by staff. She didn’t have to think twice about which way to go, considering how often she used them herself. Though still firmly set on her path, it was only when they were outside the palace walls she she look back to her friend. “Your handmaidens won’t be too upset with me for stealing you away will they?”

she knows. of course she does. her mother has always been a good listener, the type to give advices only when she knew they'd be well received. she'd wait until her daughter was done with her story before giving any input. there was no other person in the whole galaxy that the young teen would consider to be her confident other than her mother. of course, luke did come close ... but there were things she couldn't tell anyone else than to the very woman who birthed her.

and this time was one of those, she just wasn't sure how to go about it. hopefully, her reaction wouldn't be as bad as the one she knew her father will have once she'd talk to him about it. ❝ there is this ... boy -- ❞ or more like a man, but that was for another time. ❝ that i met a few weeks ago. and he may be in trouble. ❞ and while she thought about breaking him out on her own ... she knew it wasn't such a good idea.

❝ -- and ... i need to help him but ... i don't know how. ❞ without a ship, she sure wouldn't go far.

      It was so sudden, without warning that Amelia was sure there was some other force at play here. But she’s hesitant to speak of the truth of the matter to anyone until she is sure. Evander had already tried, to no avail and she was even Roman could try with similar results. Her parents however were another topic and she was glad she had not yet spoken to them, despite how badly her heart wanted to reach out. Reach out to anyone, her friend included.

     She sits in Padmé’s apartments, having turned up on her doorstep, eyes filled with tears but they had not yet fallen. Lavender lay curled in her lap, she had hardly been able to walk a step without tripping over him, she simply thought it easier to bring him along. Padmé did not seem to mind. “I wouldn’t know where to start,” she said softly. It was the truth, though it helped that it was an easy answer to hide behind. It hurt for her to even think about, especially when it came to the words he had said to her, ones she knew were lies but still hurt all the same.

luke wasn't like leia. she would get mad enough for the two of them. he was more like ... the kind brother, one people even thought of as naive, really. so kindhearted that may would think he was easy to fool, and mock. it was fine by him though, he learned early on not to care about what people said about him. life was already hard enough on tatooine that if he had to care about words, then he probably wouldn't be around now.

there was a lot that needed to be done for his composure to crack, for the façade he has been keeping up for ages to dissolve. it was only thanks to his control that he remained calm, even if his words were anything but. she couldn't believe it. and yet, there she was. his mother. standing before him. alive.

how did she expect him to feel? ❝ protect me? ❞ there was the ghost of a smile there, but not one of joy. ❝ you let me believe that you were dead since the moment i was born, let me live on tatooine ... when you were out there all along ? ❞ he couldn't believe what he was hearing. on one hand ... he was happy. she was his mother, after all. and she was there ... alive. but his emotions were too confusing for him to even embrace it fully. ❝ why now ? why show yourself to me now ? you thought the farce lasted long enough ? ❞

ahsoka was not allowed to go with anakin on the mission as it was apparently too dangerous -- no matter how many times she told him that he needed her there, that she'd help ... that they were a team. so instead of staying at the temple all day, she decided to take a walk -- hoping that it would clear up her mind if only a little. it's not like it was the first time her master didn't bring her -- and a little voice in her mind let her know that it would certainly not be the last.

it didn't mean she was okay with it, though. she wasn't too worried, she was aware that the jedi knight would come back, probably with some good stories to tell and a few teasing remarks. for now though ... she was allowed to be petty, no?

arms crossed against her chest, the togruta was sitting on some bench, eyes closed when she felt a presence not too far from her. one she recognized quite easily. senator amidala. a smile appeared on her face, replacing the pouty look. ❝ thank you, but i doubt i'll be good company today, senator. ❞ there was nothing to do to keep her mind off of it, which didn't help.
