FDR knew something was off when he heard Nyx call to him from his bedroom, and he cautiously pads his way back in from the kitchen, knowing whatever it was wasn’t good. What he hadn’t expected was to walk in and find her holding the small diamond ring in the palm of her hand. Lauren’s ring was something he thought he had lost after she threw it his face, but now that he thought about it, he remembered the maid mentioning she found some jewelry in his room and had set it aside for safe-keeping. He hesitates in the doorway, leaning against the corner of it as he simply shrugs. “Uh, I guess now would be a good time to say I used to be engaged?”
Her fingers pinched the ring from her palm and inspected it close to her face. Her lips pursed flatly as she looked at the diamond before her gaze went to him. "I like that better than you wearing women's jewelry." She smiled at him before placing it onto his dresser. "No pinky rings for you," Nyx teased, walking closer to him. "It didn't work out, I guess." Her tone was sensitive as she held her hands behind her back. "I'm sorry."
