Aries re-entered the spirit world from her gate, returning from her most recent summoning. Then she noticed Ophiuchus in area. It was hard to tell if Ophiuchus was heading towards their gate or was returning. Now that she thought about it, Aries could not remember what was even the last time that the two of them worked together. The closest she could think of was an indirect connection through Libra and Pisces, when Lucy and Yukino closed the Eclipse Gate, as the three of them shared a key holder, but that did not really count.

Perhaps she was lost in her thoughts for a little too long as Aries realized that Ophiuchus was right in her path. While she did not have a conversation starter in mind, it would be rude to walk right past Ophiuchus without acknowledging them.

As Aries got closer, she greeted,”Oh, hello Ophiuchus. Lovely weather w-we’ve been having.” She wished that she had a better starter, but at the same time, she did not know if Ophiuchus was in a rush or not.

Hey friend! Sorry I didn't answer this sooner. Thank you for the kind words. It helps more than you think. I'm doing a little better, but still not 100% back to my old self yet. So it means so much more than you'll ever know to hear that you're there if I need to talk. But at the same time, please don't feel bad if I don't open up. My main issue isn't that I don't realize there are people who care and love me and will be there the second I say I need them. The problem is that I have to convince myself that when I do speak up, I’m not bugging them. I'm not a burden.

These past days I've been struggling with that feeling. I've been hanging out with my best friend and I can't even bring myself to talk to him about it. Because I'm scared that even though I'm right in the same room, that if I speak up I'm an inconvenience to him.

Part of this also stems from things my ex drilled into my head when I was with him, that I was his property and not his girlfriend. That I was to be seen and not heard and just shut my mouth and do as I was told when I was told or face the consequences. So it taught me to just take everything in, to be there to listen and obey and put myself and my own needs and problems aside and deal with it on my own.

Add that to the fact that my whole life I've always been the listener out of my group of friends at home. I feel like a therapist sometimes. I got so used to being the one to listen and believing that speaking up is pointless because no one cares enough to listen to my bullshit anyway (words of my ex) that when things get bad, I bottle it up and end up venting through writing or doing something self destructive because even though I know in my heart people care and will listen, my head keeps telling me to just shut up already.

Aries had stirred awake and immediately sat up when a small wave came over her. Just how long had she been out? Her thoughts were broken as another wave came in, the foamy water’s highest point came to her waist where she sat. As the water receded back into the sea, Aries stood up and walked to the beach’s dry sand.

The beach was quiet as it was unfamiliar. The never ending sky of stars and planets was the only indicator that she was in fact still in the Celestial Spirt World, but where exactly was a different question. Aries looked around for any signs of an other person in the area. No people, no footprints, no campsites. With a sigh she decided to look for what she could use instead. There was a piece of driftwood, so Aries decided to pick it up and stick in the ground as a landmark for her to come back to. There were some palm trees in the area that were densely packed and could be used for shade in the area, they even had some coconuts that were currently out of reach.

Well, there was not much for her here, so Aries decided on a direction to walk in. As she walked along the shoreline, memories of the sudden storm back home filled her mind. It had come so suddenly, and it was so much stronger than any one before it. Aries had attempted to create cover for herself and other spirits with a large Wool Wall, but it was futile. Then Aquarius... Even Aquarius’  Celestial Water Magic was overwhelmed by the storm.

She kept walking, looking ahead for anything, there was a blue blur in the distance. As she kept moving, the blur became clearer. She could not believe it, it was Aquarius! Aries began running towards her friend.

“Aquarius!” she called out as she got closer. No response. When she finally reached her, Aries could see that Aquarius was unconscious. 

Aries knelt down and gently shook Aquarius’ shoulder, “Aquarius, wake up. It’s me, Aries.”

“Wh-what? Aries? Are you okay?”

What a relief, she woke up.
