my last idea is using a non toxic ink pop a fingerprint onto a small piece of paper/bay leaf and burn it while doing the spell/ritual. This can be done when doing a spell for someone else using their fingerprint too.

once you have cleansed your tools, wrap them in a black or a protection charged cloth to keep them from absorbing unwanted or unintended energy.

Growing your own garlic plants around your home is said to promote good fortune. This can also help drive/keep away negative energy.
