Development Update - June 2026
Hello everyone! Hopefully you're having a great summer so far. We've got a lot to share this month, including some new gear and apparel pieces (both finished and in progress), two super cute pink colors added to the color wheel, new Ko-fi quarterly rewards, and more!
Summer Quarter (2026) Concepts
It’s the first day of Summer Quarter 2026, which means we’ve got new Quarterly Rewards for Sponsors to vote on on our Ko-fi page!

New Colors: Lychee, Sweetheart
Over the course of 2026, we will be adding 24 colors to the Mythaura color wheel.
This month, we've got two new colors: Lychee and Sweetheart! All three colors are now available in the beast creator for people to play around with.
Gear: Grassland
Tactical decision or fashion statement? No matter how you choose to wear it, this gear set brings an earthy touch to your beast's look.
This gear set covers five gear slots (head, tail, back legs, front legs, body), and comes in three varieties:
Fresh grass
Straw
Wild rice
Gear: Aura Reaper Helm
Players will be able to acquire more than just a scythe from the Aura Reaper: their skull is the ultimate trophy, still imbued with enough Aura energy that a magical purple mist pours forth from its opened mouth.
Apparel: Simple Tunic WIP
Simple, not basic: this tunic is solidly made by Talon's Rest's resident tailor, and comes in a wealth of colors and patterns.
Gear: Healer Set WIP
The starter gear for the Healer class is the last starter gear set that we need to finish.
This is for sure the set that has given us the most trouble in designing. So much healer iconography from RPGs seems to center around paladins and clerics wearing heavy armor and sporting a god's iconography. We wanted the Healer class to be religion-agnostic, so needed to find a different direction.
We ended up going the route of someone who would be familiar with herbal medicine, and would likely be out foraging for their own supplies. This set has a more "rustic" look to it, with lots of different overlapping textures and materials.

Hypogean Expanse Creature Concepts
The Hypogean Expanse is a sprawling underground area, former home to the Eldrithians. The wildlife is perfectly suited to life underground, where the flora is sparse and the landscape is unforgiving. We're experimenting with a few different creature concepts to potentially turn into companions. This is our first pass at them!
Overworld: Stall Signage
We've completed all the signage for all the shops and stalls in Talon's Rest! These three signs are for three of the four stalls found in town:
Grinning Gar: fishing supply store
Fortune's Favor: breeding-related items
Harvest's End: food, produce, and rustic gear and apparel
The fouth sign we've kept a secret. We're excited for you to encounter it in-game for the first time!
