breaking into viktor's lab wasn't difficult, at least not for her -- but those alarms they never did learn how to shut up. "i know, i know, fishbones," she all but crooned to her bazooka as she precariously plopped down with a box of candy and stared at the chalk-drawn formulas on the board. "--- but good ol' vikky likes it when we visit, ain't that right?" wild pink eyes race to pinpoint the scientist in the doorframe behind her. / unprompted; @mythae ( @vaultbreak it won’t let me tag ur multi RIP )
A SIGH, BARELY AUDIBLE, before he quiets the alarm with the press of a button. at least she entered without breaking anything this time — he doesn’t relish the idea of having to reattach the door again after the last time she decided to pay him a visit. if she were less volatile in her moods, he might be inclined to program an exception for her into his defenses, if only to minimize any property she might cause, but as is … well, he’d prefer not to encourage her behavior any more than he already has. the last thing he needs is jinx deciding she has free access to his lab at her own leisure.
“ when you aren’t causing collateral damage. ” his voice is mild as he says it, watching as she makes herself at home in front of the chalkboard. he wonders how much of it she understands — he’s long since learned not to underestimate her. while her education might be limited, she has an instinctual understanding of engineering that he can’t help but find impressive. where might she be, he wonders, if she’d been raised by a more nurturing hand than silco’s ?
he was about the age she is now when he enrolled in the academy in piltover, he thinks, and the thought of it almost makes him feel nostalgic. almost.
“ also, speaking of collateral damage … ” he steps around her to his workbench, barely glancing at her before picking up something that looks suspiciously like one of her grenades from the table and holding it up toward her, just out of her reach. [ his expression, hidden behind the mask, is unreadable, but there’s something almost like amusement in his voice. ] “ … apparently someone took out half a block in piltover using something suspiciously similar to one of my gravitational fields. you wouldn’t happen to know anything about that, would you ? ”
