“Crafting for me is an extension of my personality and a way for me to share myself with the world by creating meaningful relationships.” “Silver-smithing was first introduced to me in high school and once I picked up a torch and hammer I have never looked back. Within a year of graduating I put together Mystic Makings as a passion project. I created pieces in my free time and sold them when and where I could and as time went on and I continued learning, I became more obsessed with it. I started Mystic Makings because I have always valued being different from my peers and wanted to stand out amongst them. I have always loved Jewelry too, adorning my wrists, ears, hands, and neck with it since I was eight years old. With that being said when I found the art of metalsmithing just under a decade later I fell in love immediately! It was a way to express myself in two different ways - by making wearable art that others didn’t have, and by wearing my own handmade creations that had beautiful one of a kind gems that I found just as intriguing. I am interested in all things mystical and metaphysical and I try to reflect that in my art with the use of crystals and minerals as well as the symbols I use in my creations. Some things that inspire my work are the natural world, our universe, southwestern fashion, astrology, music, plants, gems, and anything "mystical." —— ✎ Images + Content © Pantara (@mystic.makings) ✎ #humansofcrafting #HOCFTG #crafting #mysticmaking https://www.instagram.com/p/CKtgPTOjfos/?igshid=1j12mmihb5mv9
