At like 3am today I learnt something cool about stripes. But first heres a cool outfit cause that is my specialty 😎:
So basically emo and alt people wear stripes alot as y'all probably know but theres actually some meaning behind it. Way back the past excecutioners, lepers, prostitutes and court jesters were forced to wear stripes to show danger, scandal, not being one of them and/or sin. In 1310 a french shoe maker was even sentenced to death for wearing striped clothes.
In more recent history (1900s) prisoners had to wear stripes to show that they didnt fit into society.
Alt people now wear stripes alot to show the idea of not fitting in as being unique and having individuality.
