That being said, due to his bubbly personality by nature, I actually hesitate to take his flirts seriously. While I do not doubt that he may have a little crush on MC in every route, I don’t really get the vibes that he falls in love with her in any route:

1) If he truly loved you in every route, he would not wait until your boyfriend breaks into his house demanding for the pass code that is necessary to save you from the bomb that is about to blow up and the hacker who is about to come for you.

2) If he truly loved you in every route, he would not call and guilt-trip you while you are already happy being with your man.

3) If he truly loved you in every route, he would try to figure his damn self out before dragging you into an uncertain relationship and playing pulling and pushing with your emotions.

That leads me to the third point: Seven does have some feelings for MC in every route; however, we need to understand that he is not the only one. Zen flirts with MC in every route. Yoosung hints his jealousy in other routes. Jumin deeply cares and expresses his concerns regardless of the routes you are on. There is no doubt that these three boys also have feelings for you in every route, even though the hints are way more subtle and may go unnoticed for those who do not actively look for it.

All in all, I particularly don’t have anything against the statement “Seven loves you in every route”, but “Seven is the only one who loves you in every route” which is just because he happens to have extra spotlight? That would be beyond ridiculous and quite unfair to other characters as well.

I mean, I’ve heard the translated song, it definitely has to do with 7, but it could apply to others, which is what I generally assume. Being a mishmash of all of them.

But I agree, his behavior is friendly, but I don’t consider it flirty. He’s way too “look at me being craaazy and inappropriate, tee hee!” in general for me to believe anything he says that’s flirtatious unless it’s super blatant. There’s like, a few instances I can think of where he says something unmistakably flirtatious/romantic. Most of them are in days 1-4 of Deep Story that are literally his pre-route, and there are about three phonecalls and texts (that for some reason are not on my saved phone calls or texts) in the Jumin route where he calls MC perfect for him/comments on her being very lovable/asks why she couldn’t have fallen for him, but he’s having a meltdown and it’s a clear tease for his route. On the normal routes, he’s no more than friendly.

I totally agree with #1 - every time the MC is in danger in a route, her main squeeze flips out, but 7 remains calm and just worries about as much as he would any RFA person. Potentially endangering the MC’s life constantly until the route character intervenes.

I also agree that the way he behaves on his route is more proof that he’s not in love with the MC in other routes. He has, at most, a crush on the MC because she’s cute and friendly and everyone’s Rika-Replacement. You never see his worse side on other routes, which means you never get to his true self.

IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW.

THE REASON 7 BREAKS THE FOURTH WALL AND KNOWS IT’S A GAME, THE REASON HIS ROUTE IS LONGER THAN EVERYONE ELSE, THE REASON HE’S THE POSTER BOY AND GETS THE ‘PRINCE’ TREATMENT.

Mystic Messenger is the game that Seven made but “lost the password” to. Eventually he got around to remaking it and released it, and that’s why it’s so totally meta. You’re not playing a game about wooing boys, you’re playing a game made by a guy in a game about wooing boys.
