Incursio - Akame Ga Kill Sculpture A super belated statue I made as a birthday gift for a friend who wanted this specific pose. At ~10" he's about the tallest non-ceramic sculpture I've made to date. He's pretty stiff looking but I learned a lot during the process and I'm satisfied with it. My goal for this year is to sculpt more naturally posed figures.
Batgirl & Nightwing : The Last Minute Wedding Gift Sculpture
Woo boy. This thing, man…
This was a wedding gift that I thought about making months before the actual date of said wedding (which was Batman/DC themed) but, well, life happened (as it does) and suddenly I found myself TEN days before the wedding not even having started this.
But that night I couldn’t sleep and so decided I should at least *start* it and maybe have it finished as a Christmas gift.
What happened after that was that I didn’t sleep for the next ten days. In fact, I had only affixed it to the base 30 minutes before the ceremony. My eyes were puffy, blood shot,and nearly everyone and their mother told me how bad and exhausted I looked BUT I finished the damn thing. It’s the only sculpture I’ve ever done of two figures interacting.
Their hair/eye color were chosen to match the bride & groom.
Frog Sage Naruto. Made for someone as a companion piece for the Uchiba Sasuke sculpt. I… totally missed on his skin tone. By the time I realized how bad it was – there really wasn’t any going back. There’s still a lot of improvement to made. Ah, well. Next time, dattebayo.
