Cordelia, formerly known as Francilia, the digital girl turned haywire.
She was created by Francis out of loneliness somewhere after Super Paper Mario’s events. He based her appearance on Peach whom he still has a crush on, and his favorite magical girls from animes he watch. She was as empty as an AI chatbot could be, only providing Francis unsincere affection, everything he wanted to hear, but she was just an AI. Programmed to like everything about him.
Until the fateful day she had a forceful shutdown and her first dream ever: a slow waltz with a mysterious shadow. At this moment she grew a veritable conscience, with genuine feelings. However, when Francis wasn’t able to recognize that, she also grew hatred towards him and left. She had plans of conquest… and to find that shadow.
She later on had a crush on Fawful, influenced by her misguided beliefs it’s the shadow as well as her programming as Fawful had similar characteristics with Francis. She tried to take over the world, trapping even the Mario bros in her grasp. However, Fawful also was the very one who took her down as he wanted to save Myrticia and their baby daughter Myrteehee.
At first, Francilia was a text-book example of a magical girl: selfless, brave, helpful, always ready to fight evil. However, it falls flat compared to what she became. Cordelia is a sassy, cunning, witty and manipulative AI who will take advantage of her looks to fool people. Because she isn’t very strong on her own, Cordelia relies on her wit and quick learning to slip her way through victory. She has a complicated relationship with love given what happened with Francis and Fawful, but maybe one day, she’ll genuinely fall in love with a special someone.
