Samuru and Teledji arrived at the Bentbranch meadows aetheryte in good time, the Elezen having met his old friend at his infamous hotel and traveled to their destination via a chocobo. Leading the loyal bird by tether Samuru smiled up at their feathery companion, itโs back carrying a picnic basket and blanket that would be used on their scheduled trip.
โA pity Isen and Tulala were unable to join us, but our beloveds are busy bees and there is nary a moment where Isen doesnโt have an important job to attend to. It is good at least, it means income remains steady.โ The beauty mused while the pair meandered their way to the given destination. They pair made their way up a hill and behind a small waterfall, the mouth of the rocky bridge above them expanded outward to reach a serene clearing on the other side. Trees were sprinkled throughout the area towering tall in the air with patches of grass and flowers littered along the path they took.
Samuru took in a deep lungful of air, mismatched eyes scouting the expansive spot to find a good place to set up their impressive spread of food and spirits.ย โAh this is nice, it feels like ages since I last had a reasonable outing. The Gridanian market was bustling on this busy weekend afternoon, the sound of merchants advertising their many wares echoing down the aged halls. Rook was among the many patrons looking to spend their hard earned gil, even if his pockets werenโt as fat as he wouldโve liked. The eager mechanic decided not to take the trip alone this day, a wily white haired companion at his side.
โWow, would ya listen toย โem? I mean Limsa had much the same, but the wares here are vastly different.โ The mechanic chirped. His faithful sparrow companion had taken residence on his shoulder, happy to observe but far more comfortable crammed against his neck.ย โHaha, come now Arthur it ainโt that bad.โ Rook tried to comfort his feathery friend, using the tip of his finger to scratch the top of his head.
Rook turned to smile at Isen, bright blue eyes focused on his traveling buddy.ย โThanks fer agreeing to come with me today. Itโs not that I donโt know how to spend gil, itโs that I do it too well...to my detriment at times.โ Heโd chuckle, giving the midlander a playful nudge.ย โMax told me if I donโt come back with some gil in my pocket heโll sell me to the empire, would rather avoid it if ya donโt mind.โ Heโd flash Isen a wink, turning to let his eyes wander over the merchandise they walked by.
