“Where’d you go?”

Tiny, delicate fingers danced over her cheek, pushing a knot of hair behind her ear.  

Warm breath tickled against her shoulder blades.

She didn’t want to open her eyes. “I was away,” the words were whispered, more scared than she thought they should sound. “You left for awhile.” The dim glow from the personal terminal on her desk lit the room. There were long shadows. A quiet hum. Eyes glittered in the light. Dark hair framed a pale face. The oval broken by a single dark stripe. “Dreams... Distance... But I was here. I’m always here, ok?”  

Her hand always fit so perfectly in the small of Kasumi’s back. Stars shot past the open ceiling above them. Kaidan’s fingers gripped her hips when she moved.

“I’m never leaving. Never.”

Well this was much longer than I anticipated!

@normemedy, I saw this tag and all I can say is :

Yessssss. Honestly their height difference is HUGE to me. I get warm fuzzies thinking about how she can snuggle into Kaidan’s chest or how Io can spoon her.

I honestly JUST started writing something new for Kaidan & Kasumi (like in the last 10 minutes) and I plan on putting some more stuff in it playing up their smol/tol dynamic.

This is what I have if you can call 62 words a “sneak peek”:

The door was slightly a jar as she approached quietly, listening to what sounded like a person rifling through her kitchen looking for something. With a soft hand, the door moved inward slowly, revealing the bumbling intruder.

“Kaidan?”

He stood up abruptly, his posture stiff and straight.

“Oh, hey Kasumi,” he turned, clearly embarrassed at being caught.

Who said “I love you” first

~ When it comes to Io’ken and Kaidan, Io says it first, but it’s a scared thing, whispered in the dead of night while he’s sleeping beside her.  So, for all intents and purposes, Kaidan says it first, not long before Alchera. ~ Io says it first to Kasumi, she’s so enamored with her for such a long time, the declaration comes easily and is readily given. ~ Kaidan says it first to Kasumi and is very shy about it because their connection is so tenuous at the beginning. It’s a HUGE moment in the relationship when Kasumi says it back to Kaidan. Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background ~ Kaidan has a photo of the 2 girls together. Io’ken has a picture of Earth. Kasumi has a photo of Kaidan & Io’s underwear clad butts. 

Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror ~ Kasumi. Because she likes to watch and it’s even better when they know that she was there after the fact.

Who buys the other cheesy gifts ~ Io’ken loves gift giving, and she’s the first to buy really tacky stuff for the others. Kasumi just steals presents, but they’re never tacky. Her gifts are always heartfelt and very well thought out.

Who initiated the first kiss ~ Kaidan initiate the first kiss with Io’ken and Kasumi. Io’ken initiates with Kasumi.

Who kisses the other awake in the morning ~ Kaidan will kiss the girls awake. When it’s just the girls, they trade off.

Who starts tickle fights ~ You know it’s Kasumi.

Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower ~ Asks? C’mon now, the invitation is always open.

Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch ~ Kaidan.

Who was nervous and shy on the first date ~ Holy hell, Io’ken is a nervous wreck on each respective “first” date. She’s always afraid that they are gonna bolt for some reason.

Who kills/takes out the spiders ~ Kaidan will if both girls are there. If no one’s around, Io will do it herself. If Kasumi’s alone, she plays with them while she tells them a story and then puts them outside.
