Sonnet 1
Why should it be, that i open my door for you?
Once the door is locked, the key is thrown away.
If i can’t stand by my word, then how can i be true?
I no longer wish to engage with you in play.
Your selfish acts have opened up my eyes.
Your honesty but an after thought.
Her submission, the catalyst that illuminated your lies.
If it wasn’t for her, you would never have been caught.
And what am i to do now?
I unlocked the door, the pain still lingers
And even as you lean in to kiss my brow,
The only thing i can think off, is never trust heavy drinkers.
I felt you hurting in the night.
I answered your call, but maybe that wasn’t right.
