@mydeath: " i punched him for saying that. "
❝ oh, fuck off. ❞ the heat spirals off her tongue straight away, twisting her mouth into wryness. it’s all it knows to do : she shook off the burden of small talk and gracious conversation a long time ago, courtesies stripped off and abandoned like any other skin of hers ( a nasty habit. somehow not the nastiest. ). in its absence, she narrows her eyes at vitya. she believes him, sure enough, and simply denies him the pleasure of knowing it. ❝ no, you didn’t. like, i’m sure you wanted to, but c’mon. i’m not buyin’ it. i don’t think you have it in you, frankly. you’re a fuckin’ teddy bear. ❞ exaggeration for exaggeration’s sake : even she can’t keep a straight face at that.

❝ oi ────── i brought tha' stuff you asked me for. d'you want chocolate or caramel ? ❞
@mydeath said, ‘ no, no. it’s not my blood. ’
‘ reassurance is totally key so thanks for that. ’ she tumbles through those words (but tumbling rather than stumbling is also totally key so thanks for that). ‘ is there more that you were meant to say there? ’ she shakes her head with the disbelief, rolls her hands all: HURRY UP WE DON’T HAVE ALL DAY / I REALLY CAN’T BE HERE TUMBLING THROUGH WORDS LIKE I’M THE ONLY ONE WITH COMMON COMMUNICATIVE SENSE ALL DAY EITHER, SO JUST TALK ALREADY. ‘ anything else. like almost anything else? any kind of addendum, no? ’

🚬 : my muse steals a cigarette from your muse & puts it in their mouth .
@mydeath * accepting !
perhaps 2D should start being more mindful when he’s with his russian friend. it’s easy for him to fall into the depths of his own mind , to zone out when nothing else has stolen his attention ────── and that’s exactly what has happened as the cigarette between his lips burns away , song lyrics swirling busily through his mind. he’s just barely putting together a loose verse when the rolled paper is plucked from his lips , successfully ripping 2D from his jumbled , musical thoughts and bringing him back to reality. dark eyes fall upon the visage of vitya as the man takes a triumphant puff from the smoke. ❝ oi ! ────── if you wanted one , you coulda just said so , ya’know. ❞ it’s with a pout that he fishes another smoke out of his pack on the bedside table , placing it ‘tween his lips as he leans in to light it off the cherried end of vitya’s.
I’m a big Scott Walker fan. This may be his first solo album, but it’s the fifth one to appear on RandomRecordReview. Following his success with The Walker Brothers, it must have been quite a shock to his teeny-bopper audience to hear him sing Jacques Brel covers and others with a distinctly ‘European’ vibe. By that, read on the maudlin side, with a hint of decadence and existential angst. This was 1967 after all. It’s a transitionary album, that won’t sound so shocking to modern audiences (compared to say, The Drift) and no doubt he hoped to bring his audience on this creative journey with him. That’s achieved by drenching the production in Phil Spector’s ‘Wall of Sound’ technique. Once he and Angela Morley (nee Wally Stott) stop doing this after Scott 2, the overall sound palette of his solo albums improve immeasurably. This solo debut features three of Scott’s original compositions – Montague Terrace In Blue, Such A Small Love and Always Coming Back To You. The first of these is the best and a highlight of his early solo years; it’s interesting to see his development and confidence in his songwriting as his solo albums proceed. My death
When I die....
Please don’t cry at my funeral.
Instead
Be happy.
For my body
Has finally
Catched up
With my soul
That had
Died
Years Ago.....
