Where has the time gone?

Sometimes I forget just a few short years ago Lola was the baby and the suddenly not only was she not the baby she had two new siblings. She is often insistent that she accompany almost anywhere and because I am always surrounded by chirren I usually say no. For the last few months I almost always say yes. To see her eyes light up gives me so much satisfaction but beyond that I have a genuine good time with Lola. She is the child I feel the most in time with the lost consistent and she takes care of me. She insistent that I not talk and about myself, she always asks if I’m ok, she expresses that she likes talking to me and I always feel valued when I’m with her. She KNOWS how to love me. It’s like@it’s inherent in her, she is so intentional about her care for me. It is disarming. Today, I needed real love and affection and as I ran out to run errands she asked if she could come with me and Now I feel so much better. At the end of our meal she looks at me and says “mommy this was a really good day” and flashes that toothy grin. My heart feels so full. #mydawta #mothersanddaughters (at Olive Garden)
