"How did this happen???" soft words from the green eyed man as his hand was wrapped around a dainty one.

It had been almost two months, and she still hasn’t woken up, hell the new year already passed, but here she was, hooked up to a heart monitor sound asleep in her bed with ‘nothing’ wrong with her. Every few days Luca would visit to check up on her, talk lightly to to the other male, something she would be thrilled about, and for the most part they did get along. 

Axel talked to Takano about it as well when he stopped in, he tried to make light of it, joking about her being a ‘sleeping beauty’ and of course he was so confused by what the other was talking about, so the smoker brought him the book the next day and tapped him on the head with it “Read up, she’s supposed to be one of your good friends right?” he tried not to be harsh, only succeeded a little as the redhead focused on the book he took into his hands “Yea.  .  .” he was mostly silent when he visited. He missed seeing her at the supermarket, missed having her throw stars at him, he just missed her, like the rest of the friends she didn’t know she had.

It had been another few weeks, turning in the time she’d been asleep to 3 months and everyday he was there after work, he’d spend the nights of the days that he didn’t have work the next day, didn’t really have anything better to do, Takano and Luca both tried to get him out, and he’d go do hang out with them on occasion, but he knew he was her best friend, so he made sure to at least be there for no less then ten minutes a day, talking to her about his days, hold her hand and hope that’d she finally wake up.

He had that damn book on his mind half the time, he was running out of ideas, he’s already punched her in the arm, tapped her face, poured cold water on her face, ice down the shirt, screaming, everything, nothing, absolutely nothing worked so far, and he was finally fed up with it. The day that mark three and a half months he stood there, leaned over the side of her bed and kissed her lightly on the lips, pulled away and watched for any signs of change, with no luck “Like hell that would have worked” Axel growled and stormed out of her room slamming the door behind him.

There was a small groan as she shifted and rolled over “Who the fuck is slamming doors…” she shakily lifted herself up and rubbed her face noticing the beeping of the heart monitor and the clasp around her finger “What the fuck kind of stupid joke is this?” she grumbled and ripped the finger clasp off causing the monitor to flat line, getting up and stretching, causing most of her joints to pop “Oh that felt nice” she cooed and shuffled towards the door.

He heard it, his heart stopped as he came to a screeching halt in the living room, everything in his world fell around him on those long seconds of the flat line alter beyond the closed door. Quickly turning around and bolting back to her room, swinging the door wide open with fear lining his eyes and he froze again, she stopped as well  and quickly glared at her friend “What kind of sick joke did you plan on pulling hooking me up to a heart mon-ah!” her words were cut short as he quickly picked her up buried his face in the nape of her neck, his actions caught her off guard and surprised her a bit but she wrapped her arms and legs around him, speaking softly and slowly “How long have I been asleep Axel?” he hugged her tighter at the question “Three n’a haf months” a mumble was barely audible from her hair and her eyes widened “w-what!?” Loki pulled his face away from her and jade optics met green ones “Are you fucking serious?” she seemed a little pissed, not believing him, which he glared at her for “NO, I’m not fuckin kiddn Loki” he gripped her shirt a bit tighter at the thought of the past few months “Light tripped over ya body, he thought ya were dread but ya had a heart beat, n’one could wake ya up” he explained “Tha damn Doctors couldn’t find nuthin wrong wit ya so Luca set ya up here, he stops by couple times a week along with Takano and a few others” his words made her tear up “I-I’m so sorry” she hugged him again and he tightened his hold on her “S’ok, yer up now”

She took a moment before she said anything else “If it wasn’t for you slamming that door, I think I might still be asleep…  Thank you Axel” she spoke into his neck and he shook his head “I’ve tried loud noises, din’t work” pulling away again she gave her friend a perplexed look “Then the fuck did you do to wake me up??” he squinted away and looked back “D’nt worry bout that” the perplexed look perplexed even more “That worries me Axel, what the hell did you do??” he groaned and dropped his head back “Ya damn women are so bossy” her eyes narrowed and with a good whack to the back of his head she repeated herself “Axel- What the fuck did you do?” there was a perplexed look returned from him “Ow” he stated and rubbed the back of his head “FIINNEE, I kissed ya, happy now?” he mumbled and her face flushed a bright shade of read to match his hair “Y-you’re kidding… ” he dropped his head forward and sighed “Again, M’not kiddin” her flushed face scrunched a bit “What kind of fairy tail bullshit is that??” the taller figure shrugged as he picked his head back up “D’nt know, but it worked…  M’glad you’re finally woke, Missed yer midget self” the ravenette sighed and smiled to her friend “Well, it’s nice to be awake” as she rested her head back on his shoulder he smiled in releif.

"You have issues.…" he complained as he helped her train boxes of Christmas decorations into the middle of her apartment room "Shut up you tree, it reminds me of home, bare with it and you’ll get what I promised you" Axel stoped a moment causing her to come to a stop as well

"That’s just rude…" he said giving her a look before he laughed a bit "Does that mean you wanna climb on me" giving a suggestive brow wiggle. 

Her face flustered and shoved the box into his stomach, she really should have chosen her words better “Shut the hell up Axel you know that is NOT what I meant” glaring playfully at her friend, with an oof he shook his head at her “Ow- din’t midget, be more clear with ya words” he took the box and set it behind him, awaiting the next and last of the (few) boxes she had.

All the boxes were out and Loki was hanging decorations around the apartment, Light already said he didn’t care so it was fair game and she was excited, she had her record player going with christmas music, not without comment from her redheaded friend though “Who even uses a record player anymore?” he almost teased as he inspected it. “I Do, got a problem?” she threw a snowman plush decoration at him, which he just knocked away “What if I do?” he played back walking over to her. Loki stood up and went nose to chest with him “I’ll pelt you with stars and you know I have the ammo to do it” another playful glare from her only to be matched with one as he got down to her level “Oh yea? I’ll just pick you up, then you can’t do shit” he put his finger on her forehead and she laughed swatting his hand away “You’re a little shit Axel I swear” she turned to walk away and he scooped her up “Ah- sonofabitch! Put me down” she struggled only to have him throw him over his shoulder and walk out the door “Where the Hell are you taking me!?!?!” more squirming and he tightened his grip around her legs “Will you stop that, we’re getting what you promised” Loki stopped moving and gave a blank stair that he couldn’t see “You’re ridiculous. .  Do you honestly thing I’d ask you do help me with a reward with out being prepared?” He hummed and shrugged “Not sure, haven’t really delt with you like that yet” she dropped her head and sighed “It’s in my fridge, can we go home?” they came to stop and he turned on his heels and practically ran back to her apartment “Are you trying to make me sick?!?!?” she complained almost bouncing on his shoulder “Hush we’re almost back” 

They got to the door and he tried to open it with no luck “Hey, uh- do you have your keys?” he asked over his should and she dropped her head again “You have got to be shitting me Axel…” an almost annoyed sigh came from the little figure “Either put me down or take me to the side of the building” he turned around again and walked to the side of the building where her window was and set her down “Y’re gonna break in?” she nodded and went up to her window and popped out the screen, sliding up the window it’s self and had him help her pop the screen back in place “Ok, meet me around front and I’ll let you in”, “K” he walked away as she closed and locked the window.

The door was already open when he got to it. He waltzed in and she was changing out the record “So ya gonna do it?” he asked walking up to her, she sighed “I’m good on my word Axel so be hold on, I’ll get to it a moment” he ruffled her hair as he headed to the couch and sat down, getting comfortable. She walked into the kitchen and pulled out the lobster from the fridge, getting everything read for dinner, causing him to hop back up and very quickly snatched the lobster to get a closer look at it “S’pretty…” he almost cooed and played with the claws “Will you knock that off” Loki snatched the lobster from his hands and he awed and wrapped his arms around her neck from behind “G’iv it baacckk” he pouted and resting his chin on her head “Do you want dinner?” she retorted, “Yeah” he hung his arms, hands would be able to reach her stomach if it wasn’t for her shoulders and chest “You’re makin this hard for me to cook…” she looked up and he chuckled “Fine fine, y’re a good little wife” he teased and ruffled her hair again, returning to the couch, she turned and grumbled at him with a flustered face “Shuddup”. He put his hands up in surrender as he plopped back down
