We already know that Oswin whatserface is the new companion, right?  Which, bisexuality-slamming comments aside, I am totally pumped about - I may be in the minority, but I totally fucking loved Oswin and was basically endlessly charmed by her.

But Oswin, as things stand right now, is a Dalek!  Which...is a thing.  And also dead, maybe?  I can't remember.  BUT MOSTLY A DALEK, let's be real, this is Who, nobody is ever actually dead, except when they are, FUCK YOU, MOFFAT.

I digress.  The point is, Oswin is currently a Dalek, but what we've seen in the leaked shots from the rest of the season shows her as a human.  A conundrum!  With a few possible responses:

A)  the new companion is not actually Oswin, but Oswin's secret twin sister or some such.  In which case, FUCK YOU, MOFFAT, YOU ARE THE WORST.

B)  the new companion IS actually Oswin, but at a different point in her own timeline.  Which - enh.  I guess that makes sense, but I find it kind of uninteresting - I feel like we've seen that whole "X is a fixed point" narrative, where somebody knows something terrible is going to happen in the future, more than enough. *coughPONDScough*

C)  the new companion IS actually Oswin, but de-Dalekified.  Again, enh.  If that was possible, what was the point of the Doctor abandoning her when he found out she was a Dalek?  Like, way to totally Joss your own emotional arc, there, Moffat.  This is probably the most likely outcome, but I find it pretty lackluster, and honestly prefer option...

D)  the new companion IS actually Oswin, exactly as she was when we last saw her: a being who perceives herself as human, living in the body of a Dalek.  Which, depending on how they shot things, could be fascinating - Oswin would continue to see herself as Oswin-the-human, but other characters would see her as Oswin-the-Dalek, and what would that give us?  Potentially, it's a really interesting discussion of what makes a person, self-determination, identity, etc. - and it could tie in with the whole "the Daleks don't hate the Doctor anymore" nonsense.  

...so this conversation, obviously, led to Oswin-the-human-Dalek doing the things Oswin-the-human appears to already do - namely, banter and flirt.  Which, inevitably, led to us discussing Oswin-the-human-Dalek trying to hit on people...as a Dalek.  Whipping out terrible pick up lines...as a Dalek.

"HEY.  SEXY LADY."

"CAN I BUY YOU..." *waggles eyestalk* "...A DRINK?"

"IF I SAID YOU HAD A GREAT BODY, WOULD YOU HOLD IT AGAINST ME?"

and, of course:

"FOR-NI-CATE!  FOR-NI-CATE!"
