One dream. One job. One task...
Maybe he was not as huge, successful and known as he constantly found himself daydreaming about, but that did not matter. What did matter, was that he sat on a small platform, several people were sitting around and drinking their beverages as their eyes were glued on him, the strong smell of coffee wafted throughout the air filling his nose, and the peaceful sound of his own melodies echoed within the establishment.
Once finished with one song, the aspiring musician put down his guitar and stood up, moving over to the keyboard that was sat in the corner. Taking a seat, the boy positioned himself so that he was sitting up straight and he re-positioned the microphone to ensure it’d properly pick up his voice. Afterwards, he placed his fingers on the keys and took a deep breath.
He loved playing music so much that every time his skin met an instrument, he felt as though chills were running down his spine. In a matter of seconds, his began swiftly moving his fingers over the keys as he trailed off into his own world. For a split second, he completely forgot that he was in a room surrounded by others who were looking to him for entertainment. This was it.. this is what he lived for.
He played with such passion as a beautiful sound flooded the room. The noise was the sound of misery and joy all into one impacting combination. His own magical sounds made Chanyeol feel as though he was living in a dream. As his fingers delicately danced across the keys, he kept his eyes lightly closed and he softly swayed in harmony with his tunes.
Briefly, he hummed along to the music until that humming turned into full-fledged singing.
❝ Sing to me.. Sing to me...
I don’t want to wake up
on my own anymore.
Don’t feel bad for me
I want you to know,
Deep in the cell of my heart
I really want to go... ❞
His voice an oxymoron, strong yet gentle all at once. It carried throughout the entirety of the room and continued until he was finished with the song.
He’d gotten so into playing that once it was over, he silently continued to sit there, unsure of what to do next. It usually did take him several seconds to recompose himself after this.
Considering he now got a break, after a few moments he finally stood up, now towering over the majority of people and things throughout the coffeehouse. When he stepped down from his platform, he noticed someone trying to get his attention. He turned to face the stranger, a smile playing at his lips. ❝ Hello.. ❞
