Oh, my siblings in Satan (but mostly @foxes-cherry-pine). I was a Religious Studies major. I'm also from roughly the same area as Whitaker (smaller hometown, similar demographics). When I tell you that this scene made me want to kick down doors and flip over tables while my own religious trauma was screaming "Chapter and verse! Chapter and verse!" I'm actually underselling it. It echoes and reflects and ties together all their other interactions so beautifully and I am fully fucking unwell over it.
Maybe one day I'll write this out. But, given that my master fanfic notes document is still over 100 pages long, I'm not sure I have the capability to be brief at this time. Or at least not brief enough for a Tumblr post. I also kind of feel like keeping my theories close to my chest at this time, just because they're mine, and I've discovered that it takes a very specific kind of lived experience to clock Whitaker.
I'mma be honest with you, fam. I'm kind of burnt out on making GIFs. I haven't even downloaded the last episode of the Pitt and I don't think I'm going to, either. I may catch up when the season is over, but it took me ages to do the last set because I was forcing myself through every step, and I'm not gonna do that with something that's meant to be fun.
So, I'm working on the next 3-4 chapters of This Too By Hand, and I'm reading a ton of Borges, and I'm also working on a Young Dracula fic that I'm absolutely never going to be able to post on AO3 (so if you want to read the degenerate YD fic, shoot me a DM and I'll give you the CWs or add you to the email list for the Google Docs version).

I just saw your blog in the recommendations for me and I had to let you know I was delighted to see several posts of Noah Wyle in the Big Rig Job under someone with a The Pitt icon because the people thirsting over Dr Robby deserve to also see the goofy whimsy of Harry Wilson and that episode is quite the one for that
Harry's costumes are, easily, one of the most charming parts of the show, for me. It's also how my GF sold me on watching it—well, that and the extremely Southern cream/beige suits, which are a well known weakness of mine. It's quickly become one of my go-to comfort shows, and I absolutely have a ranking of both favorite Harry costumes and favorite Harry suits (spoiler: top spots go to Bromcom Bro/the Chechen and the baby blue seersucker suit from the Rollin' on the River Job).
