-♫- “Both are rad.”

-♫- He just shrugs, honestly unsure if he does or not.

-♫- “Prefer bein’ a night person.”

The evening seemed almost otherwordly peaceful, as if it were willing to embrace any creature venturing into it. Even extending welcome to monsters seeking the taste of unforgivable things, and obtaining them at any cost.

Technically, this world belonged to vampires as much as it did to humanity. Unlike the fae that enjoyed a realm of their own, Mihawk’s kind had always been creatures of the earthly plane. Their existence spawned off of the life and blood of the beings they could steal it from. Their prey thought them to be beasts, but in reality, humans weren’t all that that different. In essence, anything living remained so by voracious consumption of something more defenseless than it. Humans devoured plants and animals, and vampires thirsted for them. Hunger wasn’t always a matter of cruelty, but instead an answer to the query: who is stronger and more adept at survival?

The hunting grounds had vastly changed since Mihawk was a boy. Instead of picking off stragglers that had strayed from the herd, it was more civilized to hunt in plain sight.

It was by complete chance he had run into the man. He’d read his name in the papers and learned of the quick notoriety he had garnered as a new pirate, but until that evening they hadn’t been formally introduced.

After several drinks and extended conversation, the two found themselves in an empty corner of the bar locked lengthy kisses and tangle of muscular arms. The man was absolutely exotic to him down to every detail. Men didn’t usually appeal to him in such a way, it was rare that he experienced such a strong pull from his same gender, and yet, Basil Hawkins was an extraordinary specimen of a man. The attraction between them was clearly mutual, as the magician’s lips seemed just as ecstatic to be meeting with his.

A rumbled stirred in his chest as he shifted his attention to his neck, experiencing a bloom of arousal upon inhaling the man’s scent.

11. Your muse slams mine against a wall hard.

For all his somber appearance concealed, the captain came to learn that Basil Hawkins did not shy away from the occasional scuffle. Granted, moments like that were scarce and, more often than not, a combined effort by courtesy of both Apoo and Kid, who were unlikely to get along regardless of how much time was spent pursuing a similar objective. But such moments existed, and Kid took a savage pleasure in witnessing that same violence, even if it was directed towards him.

Back colliding with the wall hard enough to rip a small grunt out of him, Kid repressed a spike of annoyance. It was easy to forget how tall the other was exactly when all his time he spent seated, consulting his idiotic cards to show him future events that only he claimed to be able to interpret. 

Kid interpreted them as bullshit, personally.

Said pasta hair being chomped in between an eager maw dampened forlornly, a lost cause for the time being, though the hefty remains of it - where straw began to sprout between silky blonde locks - spilled from Monk’s mouth and the rest from his own shoulders as they then sought to tickle the Chimera in question. Good evening, Monk. Two could play at that game.

Monk let the golden threads of hair go as he watched the strange straws curiously... Until they began tickling him. Most actually very rarely expressed joy with laughter, but the room was quickly filled with his giggling as well as various playful growls.

After a few minutes of this he climbed on the bed and slumbed next to Hawkins, laying his chin on the others chest as he purred happily. He hadn’t seen the pasta-person in a while so hawkins was in for a lot of playtime and cuddles! “Hawwo~” Also he learned to greet people, are you a proud pasta-man??
