Talk Story with an Astronaut!
If you’ve ever wondered what it was like to work on the International Space Station or pilot a space shuttle, we have the perfect opportunity for you. On Monday, February 15, Maryknoll will be hosting a public talk story event at the Maryknoll Community Center with former NASA Astronaut Mark Polansky. He has served as an engineer, Air Force pilot and a mission commander for multiple space shuttle missions. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get inside the helmet of one of NASA's finest!

As an astronaut for NASA, he spent close to 1,000 hours in space. As an Air Force pilot, he logged over 5,000 flight hours in more than 30 different aircraft and was awarded the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal and Air Force Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters.
