Anca Rotar - A Review of “Muzzle Thyself” by Lauren Fairbanks
“GOLD IS A METAL” but so is platinum. Adamantium isn’t a real metal although the boy in the Replacements t-shirt wishes it was. You bet he takes the skyway. Metal. Crushed Pepsi cans like bugs. Also metal. I wanted to love this book of poetry WHAT IS POETRY what is poetry IS WHAT Some lines were good (a wisdom tooth confession extracted grudgingly) The rest is EYEROLL.
Anca Rotar is a Romanian-born writer of poetry and fiction. She was driven to writing by her love of stories and verse, as well as by an ever-increasing fascination with mysteries and the unknown. Her biggest complaint is that there are too many interesting things in the world and hardly enough time to discover them all. Her first book, Hidden Animals, is available from Amazon and Smashwords. She’s a fangirl on Tumblr and a serious writer on Wordpress.
