Toni had a project she was working on with a few people and wanted to get inspiration from drawings from little girls and women all over atlanta-what makes us strong, how are we defined, why are females future. I asked Ella : "if you could tell another little girl how to be strong and always kind, how would you describe that in a picture?! Think of what makes YOU strong and proud." She drew a bunch of mermaid little girls, flexing their muscles with big afros. She often describes herself as having "Big, UP hair". She drew them on top of a cloud surrounded by a rainbow and other strong mermaids. (see original).
