Sliding into your askbox to spark a conversation about xmen Stans. You see, I don't think Ford WOULD kill a human Stan. For a couple of reasons. But the main one is simple: he wouldn'tve met Bill. It was Stan he felt Bill downstairs. If he hadn't gone down there, Bill would've been home free with the loot. And if Ford hadn't met Bill, he wouldn't have gone down the same path. He might still have become radicalized, of course, but I doubt it would have been so. Destructive, so to speak.

Yeah without Stan beint a mutant, Ford wouldn't have met Bill in this au, or would have later in life, with an alternative professor x.

Alternatively, Ford is magneto, Bill is still mystique who he partnered with later in life, with maybe fiddleford taking over as prof x, and maybe Stan, still human and, following the first x men movie, the first human with an artificial mutation, something he chose to do willingly to help Ford.
And it kills him.
Stan's a 'human' who was proud to stand with his mutant brother and support his battle against suppression, they meet Bill later, and Bill convinces him the next step is to put his money where his mouth is and to go to the 'next step'. Maybe is a politician to try and advocate for mutant rights, does this live, and maybe Ford knows, maybe doesn't, maybe did but didn't think it was ready and Stan went ahead and did it anyway, and then Ford watches his brother turn into a puddle of water live on TV. Goes back and becomes the water of their childhood :)
Kinda messed up huh. But yeah I don't think Ford would kill a human Stan either :)
