I missed Talk to Me Tuesday (sad).
Awhile ago, I was watching some YouTube videos regarding the show. One creator said of Daeron and dreams, âa man can drown in a current or learn to flow with it.â This resonated with me because Daeron is drowning in it (wine).
Halaena, in the show, doesnât flow with it perfectly, but she does not allow it to consume her entirely. It does still very noticeably affect her.
It makes me wonder how it was for Daenys.
Anyway, your writing and Lonnel inspired me to share with you if you havenât already seen.

Itâs all good. Talk To Me Tuesday can get answered Welcoming Wednesday (made that up, yolo).
Daeron is. He completely is, and to me it makes me wonder what if someone had managed to throw him a life line or caught him before he fell in too deep? Or at the bare minimum had others around him they might be able to help him in ways he needed (not being forced into an image of the perfect warrior son).
So the show did that, which was a nice touch, then it got weird and I just stopped watching after barely making it halfway through season 2 episode one. Iâm Team Everyone Did Shitty Things And Morally Gray except Helaena, sheâs perfect, ok? Also they couldâve done so much more if they went that route but⌠no.
Daenys clearly was listened to and went with the flow, if we go with what little we know from canon.
Problem is there is really no one teaching Daeron so he does drown (looking at you Bloodraven).
Ooo I havenât see when will watch when I get home and off work. (Lonnel, and Wyle, surprise oc mvps).
