Dwyer took a step back, finally satisfied with what he had prepared now that it was fully cooked, and set it to the side so that it wouldn't overcook as the hot surface would take some time to cool down. It had been a long time since he had prepared anything for someone other than himself that was not tea or coffee or some other hot beverage. He'd certainly not cooked for another person, at least, in a great deal of time, and this particular dish being more Hoshidan in origin, well...he'd had his concerns, but as far as he could tell, it had turned out well enough. Just as he prepared a plate for his dearest Mitama (and lit a couple of small candles that served as a little extra lighting and to add to the atmosphere), that beautiful face appeared before him.
"Ah, your timing is quite impeccable, my dear," Dwyer commented as he finished setting the table, placing Mitama's plate down on the small table in front of the seat clearly pulled with the intention of her sitting there, Dwyer waiting behind the seat once the food was in place so that he might observe proper manners and push it in for her. "I felt that I should perhaps step out of my comfort zone and prepare something more native to your homeland for your birthday. Thank god for Kaze, as I could seldom get a straight answer of how best to prepare this out of anyone else. I daresay I rather like the taste of the sauce accompanying the noodles as well as the richness of the grilled chicken, though I find that the steamed vegetables are a bit lacking in flavor but add texture to it at the very least. Do feel free, however, to be a harsh critic, as I would hate for your thoughts on your meal to be biased simply because I was the one making it. This is not something you would see among Nohr's popular meals, so honest criticism or compliments would be appreciated."
